STEM education has been a common approach for Educators (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths); recently Educators and Teachers have thrown art in the mix creating the acronym STEAM. Curriculum Kids support the STEAM acronym as we feel incorporating arts into the core STEM subjects can fill any gaps and offer children a well-rounded education. The addition of Arts is about incorporating creative thinking and applied arts in real situations.
We believe STEAM is about fun, hands-on, experimental learning. STEAM experiences that involve experimentation, discovery, building or collecting things are play-based learning ideas that early years children love. When children love learning, they will have the most successful learning journeys.
